Our story goes as far back as 1999 when one of our founders,  Linda Dillon adopted an African American baby. Seven years later, Linda and Pieter Dejong adopted four more orphaned children from Ethiopia. The realization that there were many orphaned children that needed a new start, coupled with their love for offering a helping hand to children in need, Linda and Pieter Dejong decided to start an organization in Uganda, which would identify the vulnerable children and provide food, clothes, shelter, medical care and education for Orphan and other needy children. This led to the birth of New Hope For Orphans Africa.
